History

New Life Worship Center is an exciting and rapidly growing church whose doors opened on August 5, 2001 on the west side of Indianapolis, IN. New Life Worship Center was founded as a church plant of Eastern Star Church with the rights to establish an independent ministry after three years of successful ministry and full remuneration of the initial investment. Within a very short period of time, New Life’s Sunday morning service outgrew the capacity of their main facility and a second Sunday morning service was added. By the second year, they began using a local high school auditorium for a third Sunday morning service. In 2004, New Life Worship Center became an independent church ministry after having resolved and paid all debt associated with the church plant within the first year of existence.

In 2005, New Life did something unconventional by renovating a vacant department store in Lafayette Square Mall. The church did a CASH remodel of the former store transforming it into a functioning sanctuary with breakout rooms and an overflow area. During this time the church began hosting ministry services including world renowned ministers and artists such as Rev. John P. Kee, Bishop I.V. Hilliard, Bishop Paul Morton, Psalmists Kim Burrell, and Vicki Winans. In 2006 and 2007, New Life hosted the “About My Father’s Business Conference” which was created by Pastor Ramsey and Max Siegel, Esq. With the ministry growing and Pastor’s Ramsey’s desire to do more for the congregation and community, Pastor Ramsey knew it was time to look for a larger facility.

In 2007, our faithfulness was rewarded and the Lord provided an opportunity for New Life Worship Center to purchase a local church whose campus included approximately 13-acres of land. New Life Worship Center moved their main campus and administrative headquarters into their new facility, an 80,000 square feet 1,500 seat facility, in the city’s historic Traders Point neighborhood in July 2007. The church once again made CASH renovations to their new building including a new sound system, a state of the art production studio, and updated décor and technology. In September of 2007, the church opened Rhema Daycare on the main campus and launched a local television program and radio ministry. In an effort to more effectively serve the Indianapolis community, New Life Worship Center did a CASH purchase and renovation of a second location, our central campus in the inner city of Indianapolis. New Life Worship Center would become one church in two locations.

The church as now grown to over 4,500 members with 30 active ministries. The church holds three Sunday morning services across the two locations, with Wednesday noon bible study at the central campus and 7:00 p.m. evening bible study at the main campus. In July 2012, New Life opened a third location in Anderson, Indiana and began a fourth Sunday service and a Thursday evening bible study.
